Have
you ever had the feeling that you go "Honk!"
when everyone else goes "Quack!"?
From the moment his egg cracks open the
Ugly Duckling knows there is something different
about him. This hilarious musical comedy
follows Ugly's adventures as he is lured
away from his bullying siblings in the barnyard
by an ever-hungry Cat. Having survived the
feline's culinary intentions, the hapless
duckling sets out on a mission to find his
way home and on the way meets an eccentiric
squadron of Geese, a domesticated Chicken,
an ebullient Bullfrog, and a beautiful young
Swan before he is finally happily reunited
with his family.
Since it first hatched at The Watermill
Theatre in 1993, George Stiles and Anthony
Drewe's musical Honk! has winged it's way
around the world in over 2,500 productions
and in many different languages, winning
multiple awards on it's way, including the
2000 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical.
Now the show returns to Bagnor with the
original director and designer on board
in an all-new actor musician version.
